Employee Relations Manager
(known internally in BCC as Employee Relations Lead)

6 month Fixed Term Contract. Grade 6 – £54,495-£64,811. Working 36.5 hours per week.

We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our Employee Relations team, supporting the delivery of a high‑quality, professional ER service across Birmingham City Council. This is a Manager role reporting to the Head of Employee Relations.

About The Role

• Lead and manage a team delivering expert advice on:
  • Conduct and disciplinary matters
  • Capability and performance
  • Attendance management
  • Grievances
  • TUPE
• Act as senior lead on complex and high‑risk ER cases
• Support major organisational projects (e.g. TUPE, redundancy, consultation)
