Summary The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment. Responsibilities This position is located in the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of the Assistant Chief of Police for Uniformed Operations, Command and Coordination Bureau, Command Division, Communications Section. The Communications Section provides operational support to all the USCP campus and the Congressional community through a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) radio system, answering 911 emergency calls from staff members, and monitoring the Close Circuit Television (CCTV) system.
