* The Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise necessary to manage the care of critically ill adult patients.
* The APP functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary critical care team, working in close collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
* Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments, and performing invasive procedures in accordance with established protocols, policies, and evidence-based practice standards.
* The APP participates in the assessment and management of new admissions to the critical care unit and provides expert education, consultation, and patient advocacy to ensure optimal outcomes.
