Summary The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Electronics Mechanic. The Electronics Mechanic will function in Engineering Service. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to : Installs, modifies, overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electronics equipment of moderate to intricate complexity. Determines components causing malfunctions or invalid readings. Interprets and applies technical information from manufacturers' specifications, schematics, block diagrams and technical orders. Determines operation of the circuits. Makes required repairs by replacing damaged, missing, burnt or faulty items such as printed circuit cards, and transistors, diodes, resistors, etc., using the latest techniques in micro-soldering. Sets up and operates computer controlled automatic test equipment. Selects and loads the test program for the unit under test.
