The Many-Body Theory group is looking for a doctoral researcher to work on the computational study of quantum nuclear effects in solids. The project is well‑funded as part of the Theory Program of the Helsinki Institute of Physics. The focus is to study quantum nuclear effects on various properties of solids by developing an in‑house program package and conducting computations on realistic solids using supercomputer resources provided by CSC.
Candidates must hold an internationally recognized master’s degree in physics, mathematics, computer science or chemistry, ideally in computational condensed matter physics, with a strong programming background.
