What Dispatch/ Communications Supervisors Do: Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Transit Security and Passenger Safety, the Dispatch/ Communications Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Transit Security and Passenger Safety Communications Center, as well as properly maintaining radio communication with field personnel and providing verbal direction to Dispatchers. Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Essential Functions

Coordinates, supervises and evaluates the work of Transit Enforcement Dispatchers; participates in developing, implementing and evaluating work plans, processes, policies, systems and procedures to achieve the Communication Center's goals, objectives and work standards.

Ensures that the radio and dispatch areas operate in a safe and professional manner.

Monitors and takes appropriate action to enhance on-time performance.
