Position Overview

The University of Guelph, Department of Athletics & Recreation is welcoming applications for the Director, Student Athlete Experience and High-Performance Sport , commencing late Summer 2026 or soon thereafter. The role reports to the Senior Director, Athletics and Recreation and is responsible for establishing and implementing a high-performance sport model that aligns with institutional priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and oversee a high-performance sport model aligned with OUA and U SPORTS standards.
• Develop and guide policies, performance frameworks, and program standards to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Lead a diverse team of coaches and professional staff, including recruitment, performance management, professional development, and resolution of complex matters.
