Essential Functions of the Job:
Provide leadership, direction, and objectives for projects and assignments. Assist in projects and assignments as deemed necessary. Commodities Manager responsibility for some major suppliers. Work with other departments, especially internal customers, to assure needs and requirements are being met related to supplier performance criteria. Develop objectives for department and follow-up on results. Assist Commodities/Purchasing Managers as required with supplier or internal issues such as negotiations or expedites. Manage implementation and use of current and new processes and tools required to assure on-time supplier deliveries and purchased inventory reductions, such as VMI Consignments, Commercial Supply Agreements/Product Support Agreements, Kanban’s, expedite processes, JDE improvements, SRM Module, Supplier Quality and Delivery Performance ...
