Position Overview
Summary The position is located within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, whose mission is to manage and oversee NOAA's accounting, financial planning, performance evaluation, financial systems, internal control, and policy, supporting the broader strategic goals of the Department and NOAA. In this role, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring internal funding controls are in place for over $6.5 billion annually. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities The Director, Finance Office/Comptroller is responsible for managing NOAA's accounting system and developing overall financial management guidance.
