Job Summary

To enforce the law, provide service, information and aid to all citizens as circumstances require, prevent crime, suppress disturbances, investigate criminal offenses, and arrest offenders. Minimum Education and Experience Basic Peace Officer Certification issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
At least two (2) years experience as a full-time commissioned peace officer within the state of Texas. Preferred Education and Experience At least 10 years of experience as a full-time commissioned peace officer within UT System or a state, county, or municipal police department with a minimum of 6 years of full-time investigative/detective work investigating violent crimes, property crimes, white-collar crimes, and vice and narcotics. Must be experienced in filing criminal cases in a municipality, county, and district courts.
