Summary/Objective Perform a variety of clinical and/or administrative task to help a dermatologist run their office
Essential Functions - Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
- Assists Physician or PA with medical office procedures.
- Administers medications, including injections, documents meds given or prescribed by ordering provider.
- Administers dermatology and pathology biopsy procedures.
- Assumes responsibility of maintaining current certification in CPR.
- Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policy & procedures and newsletters.
- Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting in patient’s record.
- Attends support staff and department meetings to keep informed of employee issues and concerns as well as organizational updates.
