Responsibilities As a DEPUTY SURFACE MAINTENANCE MANAGER-T32, GS-1601-12, you will serve as the Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Director of the Surface Maintenance program in large states. As the deputy, serves as an alter ego to the ARNG Surface Maintenance Manager and fully shares in the direction of all phases of the organization's program which includes providing management direction, control, and accountability for ARNG surface maintenance programs and activities. These consist of, but are not limited to, Combined Support Maintenance Shop (CSMS), Maneuver Area Training Equipment Site (MATES), and Field Maintenance Shops (FMS).
