Position Details
Summary/Objective
The Dentist provides dental services within the scope of licensing, training, credentialing, general practice, & utilizing the PCMH model. The Dentist must meet credentialing requirements for NSHC, as applicable, and must demonstrate dental competency in the area of general practice.
Essential Functions
- Performs quality clinical and radiographic evaluations to diagnose and treat diseases of the oral cavity
- Promotes oral health by providing educational information on all phases of preventative and restorative dentistry and oral hygiene
- Utilizing the PCMH model, reviews and follows all dental clinic protocols, policies, and procedures
- Documents and follows treatment plans that include appropriate preventative and restorative therapy that have been reviewed with patients and informed consents granted prior to rendering treatment
