As a Data Reliability Engineer II in CME Group’s global Derivatives Risk Engine (DRE) team, you will play a hands‑on role ensuring our critical database systems are reliable, fast, and scalable. Your focus will be on proactively maintaining and enhancing the reliability, integrity, and performance of our data footprint across a heterogeneous GCP data ecosystem, including PostgreSQL on Cloud SQL and AlloyDB, Spanner, Cassandra, Firestore, Bigtable, and BigQuery.

Accountabilities

• Monitor database system health and participate in a follow‑the‑sun incident response rotation to ensure quick resolution of incidents and prevent recurrence.
