Nature and Scope of Work

The Youth Care Worker works with individuals or groups of students requiring social‑emotional/behavioral supports and interventions. They work under the direction of the Principal.

Examples of Work

• Apply strategies with students to build self‑awareness, healthy emotional regulation, and responsible decision‑making.
• Assist in implementing program objectives by addressing problems that prevent students from succeeding in challenging situations.
• Work with students who have identified exceptional social/emotional needs and refer them to other support services as necessary.
