As a NewZealand Police Custody Officer you will join a skilled and professional team to manage the health and safety of detainees while they are in our custody and during transit. The role is based in Wellington Central Custody Suite and local courts.

Key Accountabilities

• Uncover and collect information using active listening and communication skills.
• Remain resilient, maintain composure, and de‑escalate situations.
• Work with external stakeholders to ensure appropriate care and support for vulnerable detainees.
• Adapt to change, remain vigilant to detainee needs and maintain high standards of professionalism.
