Associate Counsel The Associate Counsel operates within broad guidelines established by the Senior Vice President & General Counsel, and the Vice President & Deputy General Counsel; the incumbent is responsible for providing legal expertise and assistance to the organization.
Responsibilities - Participates in the development and interpretation of ABS policies.
- May provide direction and instruction to support staff, review their progress and make recommendations concerning the evaluation of their work.
- At the direction of the Senior Vice President & General Counsel, the Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, and the Associate General Counsel, conducts legal projects and research.
- Provides counsel and advice on a variety of legal matters, including employment and labor, intellectual property, data privacy, insurance, litigation, and bankruptcy matters.
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts and other legal documents.
