Major Duties

Under general supervision of the Director of College Advising (DCA), the Coordinator of EOP and College Advising Services:

• Provides comprehensive academic advisement for all students assigned to College of Arts, Media, and Communication (CAMC) Student Services Center/Educational Opportunity Program (SSC/EOP).


• Coordinates activities related to monitoring EOP student transition and academic progress including, but not limited to, follow-up with students and responses to faculty alerts.


• Assists the DCA and Student Services Professional IV (SSP IV) with the coordination, planning, and implementation of first year advisement for all incoming first-time freshmen and transfers.


• Represents the SSC/EOP satellite and CAMC at on and off-campus events, recruitment activities, and on university committees.
