Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Privacy Officer, the Compliance Privacy Coordinator supports the administration and ongoing effectiveness of the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) Privacy and Compliance Program. Assists with ensuring compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), applicable federal and state regulations, and UMC policies governing the confidentiality, integrity, and security of protected health information (PHI). Conducts monitoring and auditing activities, participates in privacy incident response and investigations, maintains regulatory reporting requirements, and promotes a culture of compliance through training and education.
