**Job Description**

The Clinical Specialist - Physical Therapy is an advanced level clinician, who evaluates and treats patients referred for physical therapy. This individual leads program development, mentors/trains and may supervise less experienced physical therapists, participates in research, manages the student program, monitors regulatory requirements related to the profession and performs in a lead capacity.

**Qualifications**

+ Bachelors degree, Doctoral degree preferred (DPT)
+ 5 plus years of related experience
+ Preferred to have advanced certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ie NCS)

**Responsibilities**

1. Performs initial evaluations, establishes approximate goals, plans and implements treatment interventions, performs timely re-evaluations and modifies goals and treatment intervention accordingly. Coordinates with other disciplines when indicated.
