Under the direction of the Manager Health Services - Surgery and in collaboration with the Department Head of Anesthesia, the Clinical Resource Nurse (CRN) assumes a leadership role in coordinating patient care within the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care outcomes, and promote an interdisciplinary patient-centered approach to care based on best practice. The Clinical Resource Nurse is responsible for providing clinical nursing care to pre-, intra- and post-operative surgical patients undergoing an anesthetic procedure. This includes pre‑anesthetic assessments, preparing patients for anesthesia, assisting the anesthesiologist during surgery, and maintaining and procuring equipment and supplies.
