Overview
Hospital in the Home Services in Whangarei and Bay of Islands is seeking a motivated and experienced Designated Senior Nurse to deliver patient‑centred Hospital in the Home (HiTH) care to patients across the Mid North and Whangarei districts. The role is permanent, full‑time (40 hours per week) and rostered across 7 days, normally from 07:30 to 16:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient‑centred HiTH care to high‑acuity patients in their homes.
- Work collaboratively with the Whangarei Hospital in the Home team and other multidisciplinary teams to offer expert advice, care coordination, resources and support.
- Apply advanced assessment, diagnostic reasoning and monitoring skills to manage complex conditions.
- Deliver specialist acute care equivalent to an inpatient bed, including access to hospital specialists, diagnostic services and medications.
