Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for the overall co-ordination of mechanical heart devices implantation including assessment of patients on their suitability, management of patients supported with the devices, and assist in the routine investigations for the patients.
- Required to hold discussions with patients and their families to ensure their understanding of the mechanical heart devices programme and conduct device training for patients, family members and staff.
- Perform duties such as wound inspection, wound dressing and assist doctors during the implantation of the device.
- Also assist in the administration of the programme and maintain statistical data, including updating the Registry.
