Head of Department – Childcare Solicitor

This leading Legal 500 firm, which is highly tiered in family and hosts multiple recommended lawyers, is looking for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to lead their established Childcare team.

This is a senior leadership role where you will have autonomy in shaping the future of a growing department. You'll lead a talented team, manage a complex caseload of your own and work closely with senior management.

The Role

As Head of Department, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Childcare team while continuing to handle a varied caseload of public law children matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing complex public childcare cases, including care proceedings, emergency protection applications, special guardianship matters and associated family law work.
