Position Overview

Summary This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Chief Readiness Support Officer, Aviation Integration and Resources. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and coordinate aviation operations across the Department of Homeland Security and develop and implement policies and programs to ensure effective and efficient use of aviation resources in support of DHS missions. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position. Responsibilities As a Chief Aviation Officer, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Developing aviation policies, procedures and standards to enhance aviation safety and security. Coordinating aviation resources and budgeting allocations across department components. Serving as a primary liaison between Department of Homeland Security, federal agencies and external partners on all aviation related goals and objectives.
