Job Description & Requirements – Chemist / Treatment Plant Operator We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Chemist / Treatment Plant Operator to assist in the testing, handling, categorisation, and treatment of chemical waste and wastewater at our treatment plant.
Key Responsibilities - Identify, differentiate, and categorise different types of chemicals and waste streams.
- Conduct sample testing and analyse test results accurately.
- Maintain proper and detailed records of testing, treatment, and plant operations on a timely basis.
- Assess chemical and waste characteristics to determine suitable handling and treatment methods.
- Propose appropriate treatment solutions based on the type and condition of waste received.
- Assist in the daily operation and monitoring of the treatment plant.
- Ensure that treatment processes are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
