**Description:**

The First Year Chaplain Resident functions as a team member of the Spiritual Care Department and establishes collaborative relationships with the interdisciplinary care team, other professionals and the community. The estimated start date is August 2026.

**What you will do**

+ Responsible for responding to the spiritual needs of patients, families and staff of all faith traditions throughout the organization
+ Provides interfaith spiritual care through visitation, crisis intervention, prayers, sacraments as needed and appropriate, bereavement and end-of-life support, life-reviews, spiritual care consultation around existential questions, spiritual and religious rituals, worship services and staff support
+ Must understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priority
