Job Description
Summary of Performance Expectations:
Responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care delivered to assigned group of patients and functions within the expectations of the service.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Master's graduate of accredited School of Nursing and completion of an approved post basic program of study and clinical experience for Nurse-Midwifery. Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board. Possession of a current North Carolina RN license. Approved to perform medical acts by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners. NRP certification is required.
BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
