About the Role
Applications are invited for non-SET Registrar Positions (2yrs+ Post Graduation) at Waikato Hospital. We are seeking doctors interested in a surgical or critical care career pathway. Candidates who have completed two years post‑graduate hospital experience, including a variety of surgical experience, will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to experience cardiothoracic surgery whilst working in a supportive environment.
The Waikato cardiac unit performs over 450 open heart procedures a year with active TAVI, aortic and complex cardiac pathways and around 200 thoracic cases with active thoracoscopy services, including uni and multiportal access.
