JOB SUMMARY

Completes abstracts for submission to the California Cancer Registry and the National Cancer Data Base.Assists in performing Studies of Quality for the Commission on Cancer survey. Performs case-finding and quality control of all reportable neoplasms.Assists in special projects as required.

A.EDUCATION

REQUIRED:

Oncology Data Specialist – Certified (ODS-C)

Associate degree in Health/Biology or related field.A Bachelor’s degree in Health/Biology preferred.

B.EXPERIENCE

Five years experience working in a hospital or centralized cancer registry.Prior experience in the development and completion of computer database reports.

C.PREREQUISITE SKILLS
