C Grade 7 Teacher – Art Smith Aviation Academy

Full-time, 1.0 FTE, commencing at the beginning of the school year. The Academy is located on the 4 Wing Air Force Base in Cold Lake, Alberta, with approximately 290 students in Kindergarten to Grade 9. It offers a K‑9 program in English and a K‑6 French Immersion program. The primary focus is serving military dependents and supporting students in the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective planning, instruction and assessment for students.
• Develop and nurture a positive, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Create classroom conditions for students to achieve the outcomes outlined in the Alberta Curriculum.
• Interact positively and effectively with a diverse student and parent population.
• Work collaboratively as a member of a professional learning community.
