Role Overview

Reporting to the Lead, Procurement, the Buyer will manage the execution of purchase orders, the contracting and onboarding/offboarding process for time and material contingent workers, the international shipping process on behalf of Teck, and the management of RFXs. The incumbent will work in conjunction with various Buyers, Supply Management resources, and other teams distributed across Teck sites while educating resources distributed across several sites on Teck purchasing practices and policies. Buyers may also be required to fully manage the import/export of hardware to/from various sites across Teck, including populating/review shipping documents, liaising with customs brokers, carriers, 3PLs, and vendors.
