In various disciplines of sport, the Playmaker performs a critical role in the team. They control the flow of the team's offensive play and orchestrate the moves of the attacking outfit. The Playmaker has the vision to see a scoring opportunity, however, their role is not to score as many points as possible, but rather to create the conditions for other specialised players to score for the team.

The Playmaker carries a global view of the playing field and understand that it is not the always the individual brilliance that scores points, but rather the combined effort of the team.
