This role disassembles, cleans, inspects, and rebuilds brake valves as part of the reconditioning process, while maintaining production and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Disassemble and clean brake valves and components used on locomotives and freight cars.Inspect parts for wear or damage and replace as needed.Reassemble valves using new components and torque to AAR specifications.Mark completed valves and prepared them for testing.Monitor inventory levels for replacement parts and kits.Follow shop safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
