About the role

You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the Respiratory BRC histology laboratory within the Division of Respiratory Sciences, School of Medical Sciences. You will coordinate access to the facility, manage laboratory space and rotas, supervise technicians, and lead on training and inductions for staff, students and researchers using the laboratory. The role involves carrying out complex histological processes, including tissue processing, cutting and staining, while providing expert technical advice and hands‑on support to a wide range of research projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring that laboratory resources and specialist equipment are maintained to a high standard, arranging servicing and repairs, and managing consumables and purchasing requirements.
