Biomomentum strives to be at the forefront of innovation in the field of mechanical testing of biomaterial and tissues. Our multiaxial Mach-1 Mechanical Testers can assess mechanical properties of biomaterials or tissues under compression, tension, shear, friction, torsion, bending and also with our proprietary technique for 3D mechanical properties mapping. During this 16-week internship from May 8th 2023, the intern will work with our engineers and scientists to develop and validate new mechanical testing modalities compatibles with themultiaxialMach-1 Mechanical Testeron various biomaterials and tissues.

Intern will have conductthorough literature review, determine the optimal testing parameters and write down Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) with step-by-step information on how to execute the mechanical testing.
