Responsibilities

• Assist the responsible Nurse in overall unit supervision when requested, as well as in nursing assistance planning.
• Receive and handover shifts in the Obstetric Center, informing the subsequent shift Nurse about all occurrences.
• Provide comprehensive patient care according to the established care plan and administer medication as per medical prescription, observing the patient’s response.
• Prepare and send patients for laboratory and diagnostic tests, including sample collection, venous puncture, and electrocardiography.
• Assist the medical team in necessary procedures.
• Control the patient’s material and medication inventory, requesting supplies when necessary.
• Prepare and maintain cleanliness in nursing and patient care areas, materials, and equipment.
