Qualifications

Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification, Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in automotive service, preferably with commercial transport truck systems.

Other Requirements: Willing to relocate; relocation costs covered by employer.

Work Environment

On-site location requiring completion at a physical workshop. Environment may be dusty and noisy.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect motor in operation.
• Review work orders.
• Road test motor vehicles.
