Automation Engineer, Christchurch, circa $110k

Specialist designer and manufacturer of automated systems requires an experienced Automation Engineer to join their team.

Working in a small team, you will be responsible for automation and controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and commissioning. Panel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematic capabilities are expected with this position. Travel will also be required.

The successful candidate will possess:

• a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a machine automation role - designing, implementing and testing automated machinery
• expertise in PLC logic and programming with PLCs, HMI and SCADA configurations
• the ability to troubleshoot problems with mechanical equipment and ensure it is functioning properly
