We are looking for an Associate Underwriting Consultant to join our Individual Underwriting team. This position is critical to Equitable’s success.

Work Arrangements

• Work from home office 100% of the time; may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region on an as-needed basis.
• Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.

What you’ll do

• Assess mortality and financial risk for individual life insurance applications through detailed analysis of medical, lifestyle, and financial information
• Collaborate with reinsurance partners to appropriately distribute risk for cases exceeding retention limits
• Coach and mentor junior, intermediate and/or senior underwriters from a technical perspective to ensure underwriting decisions are well‑reasoned, timely, and effectively communicated to stakeholders
