Associate Teaching Professor; Clinic Director – Low Income Taxpayer Clinic

Syracuse University College of Law invites applications for the position of Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Sherman F. Levey ’57, L’59 Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). This is a three-year contract faculty position eligible for subsequent three- or five-year contract renewals.

The LITC provides legal assistance to lower-income taxpayers involved in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service, including collection, examination, appeals, tax notices, account issues, and related federal tax disputes. Students represent clients in administrative proceedings before the IRS, and, when appropriate, in judicial proceedings before the United States Tax Court or federal courts.
