Our client, a well-established law firm based in San Jose, is seeking a contract-to-hire Attorney to join their dynamic team. The firm handles a broad array of civil litigation defense matters, offering the opportunity to work with experienced attorneys on complex legal issues across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including conducting legal research, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.

+ Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to individual and corporate clients.

+ Draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence; attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as required.

+ Work collaboratively with firm attorneys and staff in a fast-paced, collegial environment.

+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge on relevant statutes, case law, and local rules in California.
