We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Medical Secretary within the Haematology Department based at York Hospital. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy team to provide secretarial support to the Haematology Consultants and the wider clinical teams.

Excellent administration/secretarial skills and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required, together with demonstrable customer service skills and experience.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for typing clinical and administrative letters, answering telephone enquiries from patients, GPs and colleagues from within the Trust from various staffing groups.
