Position Overview

What the Role Is

You are responsible for the staffing of mental health policies and capability development, including mental health plans and strategies, and the operationalisation of wartime mental health capabilities. You support the development, review, and refinement of mental health policies and strategies to future‑proof MINDEF/SAF's mental health capabilities and deepen the organisation's understanding of national and SAF mental health trends.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Draft parliamentary replies and Committee of Supply speeches, including preparing supplementary information.
  • Draft mental healthcare directives to manage the mental health of pre‑enlistees, servicemen and regulars.
  • Study best practices and policies from Whole‑of‑Government stakeholders such as the National Mental Health Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education, and Institute of Mental Health.
