Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Program (ICSP) at the Brody School of Medicine (BSOM) provides access to simulation-based education for learners across the Health Sciences Campus and ECU Health Medical Center. The program collaborates closely with ECU Health Medical Center in offering educational activities to Graduate Medical Education, EastCare, and other hospital staff. The mission of the Clinical Simulation Program is to promote excellence in clinical care, promote patient and learner safety, and improve multidisciplinary team performance using simulation modalities. The ICSP is a fully accredited program by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.A 24-room 10, sq. ft. Clinical Simulation Center is located adjacent to the hospital on the first floor of the Brody Health Sciences Building.
