Job Description
This Assistant Controller role supports the Chief Accounting Officer and leads the day-to-day accounting operations for a high-volume, multi-entity retail environment. The position oversees core accounting functions, drives process improvements, supports month-end and year-end close, and serves as a key leader across financial reporting, compliance, audit coordination, and team management.
Responsibilities

+ Lead daily accounting operations across financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, audit support, and tax compliance.

+ Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, variance analyses, reconciliations, and closing entries.

+ Oversee external financial and sales/use tax audits and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors.
