About the role

This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity to join the business during an exciting period of growth. Reporting directly to the Branch Accountant, the Assistant Accountant will provide broad support across the finance function, with a strong focus on high volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing. 

The Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

• Process high-volume supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match purchase orders, invoices and receipts.
• Prepare supplier payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier master data and build strong supplier relationships.

Accounts Receivable:

• Raise customer invoices and allocate incoming payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate debtor records.
