Advanced Practice Provider

This is for a replacement APP to support physicians in clinic. The APP will be seeing pre-op and post-op patients and routine return visits. Additionally, they will work in tandem with physicians to maximize patient templates. They are responsible for placing orders, answering MyChart messages and phone calls from patients, and completing extensive paperwork such as FMLA and disability forms.

Responsibilities

CLINICAL - 90% - Key liaison to Lakeland USF Neurosurgery staff working to provide optimal continuity of care through standardization of care plans and protocols. Obtain the history and physical examination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic test/procedures in coordination with Faculty supervising physician. Regularly confers with faculty physicians regarding diagnosis, treatment, best form of therapy projected, and alerts physicians to abnormal findings.
