An entry level fitter lays out and fabricates simple aluminum structural parts, such as plates, bulkheads, frames, and small components, and then tack welds them in position within the hull or assembly of the vessel.

Has the ability to work from a blueprint on simple fabricating tasks with constant intermediate supervision from either a foreman or senior fabricator.

Has less than one year of experience in the aluminum fabricating field.
