Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC, Position Description Number D1636000 and is part of the 109TH AW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Responsibilities As a AIRCRAFT ENGINE MECHANIC (WG-8602-10), you will maintain, troubleshoot, remove, repair, install, certify, test and perform operational checks on the turboprop engines, propellers, and associated propulsion system components.It also covers work involving engine accessories such as starters, generators, anti-icers, and fuel control devices when such assignments are incidental to work on the completed engine. Works also involves the review of engine/component records to determine cause of failure and the extent of disassembly and repair required in returning engine and/or component to operational condition.
